In Japanese mythology, Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto is
the deity of the moon, who governs the realm of night.

Inspired by Nagatsuki, also known as Kikuzuki—names for September in the traditional lunar calendar—
this piece features a blue moonstone representing the moon,
alongside a chrysanthemum motif illuminated by its light.

The chrysanthemum has long been regarded as the most noble of flowers
and is used as a symbol of the Imperial family.

A quiet radiance, carrying a sense of dignity.
A presence that gently rests close to the heart.

Story of Tsukuyomi

Tsukuyomi no Mikoto

Tsukuyomi no Mikoto is a deity who appeared when Izanagi no Mikoto rinsed his right eye to wash away the impurities upon his return from the Land of Hades. It is said that Amaterasu Omikami appeared from his left eye and Susanoo no Mikoto from his nose.
These three gods are considered to be exceptionally noble and are called the "三貴子 Three noble children" (it called “Mihashira no Uzunomiko or “Sankishi”).

Tsukuyomi is written as "月を読む reading the moon", and is said to represent and preside over the moon's age and calendar. Tsukuyomi is a very important deity for the Japanese, who are agricultural people, because they used to use a lunar calendar to read the lunar calendar according to the phases of the moon.
Also, it is very important for the fishing industry, which needs to read tidal changes caused by the waxing and waning of the moon.
Tsukuyomi no Mikoto has been a deity closely associated with Japanese culture and civilization since ancient times.

Tsukuyomi is also written as "月夜見 Watching the moon in the night", and is thought to be a deity who deified the moon and ruled the land of night.

Gem stones

Natural Gemstones

Like hand carving, the use of natural gemstones expresses the beauty found in imperfection.

In Japan’s ancient nature-based beliefs, including Shinto traditions, stones and sacred rocks have long been objects of reverence. This sense of respect toward natural stones is also reflected in our creations as part of Japanese cultural heritage.

TEGAMI Products

Jewelry that brings a sense of Japanese aesthetics into modern style.

To preserve the warmth and texture of handcraftsmanship, each jewelry master model is carved by hand.

In traditional Japanese ceramics and tea ware, subtle irregularities and natural variations are often regarded as beauty itself. Rather than distant perfection, we value the sense of warmth and familiarity found in imperfection.

We deeply value this aesthetic philosophy that has long been cherished in Japan.
